This is a Chinese blue and white porcelain vase. The vase features a prunus blossom pattern and has a lid topped with a finial in the shape of a lion. This type of design is often associated with the Kangxi Revival period, from the late 19th to early 20th century. Prunus blossom motifs, also known as plum blossoms, are a classic pattern in Chinese art, symbolizing endurance and renewal. The vase may also be referred to as a ginger jar. The blue coloration is derived from cobalt oxide, a mineral that has been used in Chinese ceramics since the 15th century. Vases with this type of design are often referred to as "prunus jars". The style of the vase is characteristic of Chinese blue and white ceramics, which are highly valued by collectors. This is one of my porcelain collection of blue and white items. I’ve had it since the 80s but it is older than that. It does have a chip on the lid (see last pic). But it doesn’t really affect its beauty. 6” tall
